The Sides and back Cocobolo. Cocobolo is a dense tropical hardwood from Mexico and is prized for its unique tonal characteristic in acoustic guitars. Cocobolo produces a bright overall tone with sparkling treble tones. Sonically it resembles Koa wood but resonates a little deeper on the low end. The tone is fast, responsive and articulate. It is one of the densest tone woods being twice as dense as Honduran Mahogany. It produces a reflective, bright tone that accentuates the treble response. It is known for its brightness, shimmer, sustain and volume.

Soundboard
The soundboard (top) is made of Sitka Spruce which has been aged for 65 years giving the guitar a full sound clarity on every string. No on string will overpower the other. This distinction is made in all RML Guitars.

Bracing
Sitka Spruce which with an X-Brace design. The X-Brace and Tone Bars are scalloped to attain an increase in depth of the overall tonal quality. Back Bracing is made of Honduran Mahogany.

Binding
The binding is Pau (Blue) Abalone and Ebony. The End Wedge is reversed Cocobolo.

Rosette
The Rosette consists of three Pau Abalone Rings interspersed with herringbone and Pau (Blue) Abalone rings in a complex pattern of color.

Neck
The neck is a single piece pure Honduran Mahagony with a feathered volute. The tuners are gold Gotoh 510s - 21:1 ratio.

Fingerboard
The fingerboard is Ebony with Pau Abalone feather fret markers. The frets are medium with bone nut and saddle. The bridge is solid Ebony hand carved into an eagle with Ebony Bridge Pins.
