Dreadnaught – Flame & Quilted Maple

The Sides are Flamed Maple while the Back is Quilted “exhibition grade” Maple. Flamed Maple produces a bright hot tonal quality. Flame maple is generally bright and articulate. It emphasizes high frequencies and provides clarity, making it suitable for genres like country, blues, and rock. Flame maple (also known as tiger maple) has a wavy, flame-like pattern that runs across the wood grain. Quilted maple contributes to a warm rich sound and good sustain. It has a balance between brightness and warmth making it versatile for various playing types.

Soundboard
The soundboard (top) is made of Sitka Spruce which has been aged for 65 years giving the guitar a full sound clarity on every string. No one string will overpower the other. This distinction is made in all RML Guitars.

Bracing
Sitka Spruce which with an X-Brace design. The X-Brace and Tone Bars are scalloped to attain an increase in depth of the overall tonal quality. Back Bracing is made of Honduran Mahogany.

Binding
The binding is Curly Maple Black/White/Black and Herringbone. The End Wedge is Ebony. The sides have inlay of reconstituted turquoise diamond pattern.

Rosette
The Rosette consists of Turquoise and Herringbone rings.

Neck
The neck is a pure Honduran Mahagony. The tuners are gold Gotoh 510s.

Fingerboard
The fingerboard is Ebony
The frets are medium with bone nut and saddle. The bridge is solid ebony with Ebony and Ebony Bridge Pins.
